-The space between plates fills with magma that hardens creating underwater volcanoes and rift valleys ( the    mid ocean ridge)

-Continental crust is created and oceanic crust is destroyed as it subducts, melts, and becomes magma.

- The two plates can crash into each other creating a mountain range, like the Himalayan mountains 

- Plates are moving against each other and cause friction

-Oceanic crust is created.

-A deep seafloor trench is created

-The Mediterranean island of Cyprus is located between the African and Eurasian plates.-
